Package #2 - Call ID with Name/Voice Mail/Call Waiting
There is More Value in Package 2. In package two, you get Call ID with Name along with the Voice Mail and Call Waiting. Package 2 includes:
- Call ID with Name: Caller ID with Name displays the calling parties Number AND Name, making it easier for you to identify the incoming callers, plus
- Voice Mail: Voice mail is an answering system that records all your calls for you when you can't get to the phone. It will even record messages when you are on another call, plus
- Call Waiting: Call waiting allows you to answer a second incoming call without disconnecting the first call.
Call ID with Name: Receiver should allow the phone to ring twice for the ID to be displayed. The letter 'P' or the word 'Private' has indicated the party calling has blocked their number. The 'O' or 'Out Of Area' indicates that the call came from an area that does not support Call ID.
Voice Mail:
To Use Voice Mail
- To set up your Voice Mail for the first time, contact Nicholville Telephone Company's business office to initiate the service.
- Once the service is activated dial *99 from the phone with the feature. Follow the voice prompts. When the system asks for your PIN number, enter "0000" and follow the prompts.
- To retrieve your messages:
Call Waiting: Press and release the receiver button to answer the second call and click again to return to the first. To turn off Call Waiting before a call pick up the phone and press *70. When you hang up after the call, Call Waiting will be automatically restored.From the phone with voice mail, dial *99 or 389-8255. When you hear your greeting press the # key; enter your PIN and follow the prompts.
When you are away, dial 328-8255 to retrieve your messages. When prompted for your user box number, enter 315 followed by the phone number of the phone with the Voice Mail feature. Then follow the voice prompts.
